Jose is a perfect example of price gouging after the Tubbs fire in Santa Rosa! He came out to quote my burned fence, wrote me a quote of $4280 - I called a second company Redwood Residential Fence to get a back-up quote and they came in only at $3795. I was going to use Redwood as the price was better until I saw my neighbor's finished product and was very impressed by Jose's work. I decided it was worth paying the extra money to have a beautiful fence with Jose so I hired him! He was scheduled to start the job between 9:30-10am, at 11:30 he calls me to say the price of supplies went up and he now wanted $1500 MORE to do my fence or couldn't do my job. Is this a joke? He wrote me a quote and backed out the day of?? I am assuming someone else wanted to hire him with a larger insurance payout and he dropped us. He offered to rewrite my quote and have me resubmit it to insurance. how generous of him, NOT! I think it's pure greed and I will be sure to NEVER recommend him!
